The 39 Sesc units throughout São Paulo will host the second edition of the Festa!, the Festival of Learning. The initiative aims to spread free access to activities that develop knowledge in various spheres in the areas of technology and visual arts. The more than 500 activities offered will be coordinated by leading professionals in each sector, such as Djamila Ribeiro, Paulo Bruscky, Amadeu Zoe and Araquém Alcântara.

A multitude of areas are covered by FestA!. The public will find manual, digital and artistic practices, among others. Although free, some of the festival's activities require prior registration or password withdrawal 30 minutes in advance, the others have free access. It is recommended to observe the rating in the schedule.

The initiative also aims to bring the public's gaze to the plurality of courses, workshops, lectures, experiences and many other options for short-term activities that Sesc offers to the population throughout the year. Fernanda Sanino, from Lumberjills, a carpentry and tapestry project made by women, emphasizes the dimension of the festival: “It is very important for us to participate in this event, because it helps to highlight, promote and encourage hand skills, which will be lost much in the modern world.”

Fernanda and her partner, Letícia Piagentini, will give, at Sesc Santo André, a workshop
and experience in creative basic woodworking. “It's been an honor to be able to participate and take the woodworking and female empowerment, which we preach so much, out there”, concludes Sanino.

The public can participate in a landscape design workshop with the architect Carla Caffé, taught inside a boat, in Bertioga. It is also possible learn fitting techniques in Japanese woodworking with designer Igor Hideki Hatanda at Sesc Pompeia, in addition to several other options for practices linked to oriental culture at the unit. One workshop and a chat on Xerography and Linguistic Poem is in charge of artist Paulo Bruskcy at Sesc 24 de Maio. At the Pinheiros unit, the highlight is the JUNTA!, Latin American Artist Book Fair.
