Since they had to close their doors, due to the coronavirus epidemic, the country's museums and galleries began to organize various activities and initiatives in the digital universe to keep in touch with the public. Among these initiatives are the lives, meetings broadcast live, which usually take place through Instagram and Youtube, but also more interactive platforms such as Zoom. THE arte!brasileiros selected some of the meetings that will take place in the coming days. See below:

Karla Osorio Gallery – The gallery follows its series of lives “to.keep.alive”, with conversations on various subjects in the arts universe. This Thursday, day 28, at 17 pm, Patricia Rousseaux (educator, founder and editorial director of arte!brasileiros) talks with Karla Osorio about “The Moment of Art in Brazil and in the World. On Friday, day 29, it is the turn of the artist Élle de Bernardini to participate in a “Take Over” on the gallery's Instagram.   

Mercosul Biennial – Rosana Paulino is the first guest of Bienal 12 for its Lives Program. The chat takes place this Thursday, day 28, at 19 pm, with mediation by Igor Simões, curator of the Bienal 12 Educational Program. The meetings continue weekly, with a total of six meetings, always on Thursdays, which will be attended by artists, educators and curators. The conversations will focus on the debate on issues related to art and education within the context of the coronavirus.

masp – The museum promotes in the day 29, starting at 11 am, the online seminar “Histórias do Brasil”, with the participation of Heloisa Muriel Starling, Lilia Moritz Schwarcz, Moacir dos Anjos, Sandra Benites and Tom Farias. This is the first seminar of a long-term project that anticipates the program of exhibitions, lectures, workshops, publications and courses at Masp dedicated to the Histories of Brazil in 2022, the year of the bicentennial of independence.

picture gallery – The São Paulo museum follows its online schedule with a conversation this Saturday, day 30, at 11 am, about the exhibition “Sculptures in Parque da Luz”. Tatiana Russo, curator of the Pinacoteca's Conservation and Restoration Center, talks with Valéria Piccoli, the institution's chief curator.

Nara Roesler Gallery - No. May 30, Galeria Nara Roesler will promote the second part of the online event honoring Abraham Palatnik, artist who died on May 9, aged 92. The event will bring together curators, critics and friends to discuss his beginnings, his career and the legacy left by Palatnik as a pioneer of Brazilian kinetic art. On his Instagram, you can also check out the recordings of the lives made previously.

Luisa Strina Gallery - No. June 4, at 17 pm, Galeria Luisa Strina holds its webinar “Tramas, reflexes and dissonance: Architectural passage in the exhibition Voids, intervals and joints by Leonor Antunes”. For the conversation with the artists, the gallery brings Denis Joelson. The chat will be held on the ZOOM platform and to participate, simply register on the link provided on the gallery's Instagram. The live will follow some key issues such as Leonor Antunes' double relationship with the field of architecture and will focus on the universe of some characters that influenced her.
