Pinochiette dans les Alpes meets 19 artistic voices distinct elements emerge in a rich and varied investigation into contemporary painting. The exhibition title is derived from a painting by Valerie Favre The exhibition also pays homage to the gallery's origins and its enduring ties to Switzerland.
Composed primarily of artists who are part of the gallery's program, the collection offers a broader perspective on the diversity and artistic orientation of the space. The exhibition is an opportunity to discover a more comprehensive selection of artists represented by the gallery, alongside invited artists, including several names who have never exhibited in France before.
The exhibition brings together works by Francis Alÿs, Hernan Bas, Armin Boehm, Travis Boyer, Andriu Deplazes, Valérie Favre, Beatriz González, Christoph Hänsli, Chris Huen, Leiko Ikemura, Sea Hyun Lee, Eva Nielsen, Amol K Patil, Bernd Ribbeck, Valentin Rilliet, Dagoberto Rodríguez, Tobias Spichtig, Christine Streuli and Didier William.
The exhibition will remain on display until October 10, 2026.
The opening of the group exhibition will also mark the launch of the publication. Tout près, si loin (So near, so far) – Entretiens avec Axel Ruoff, French edition of the book of conversations between Valérie Favre and art historian Axel Ruoff, with the artist present on September 9, 2026.
The publication Tout près, si loin It emerged from a series of meetings between the writer Axel Ruoff, based in Berlin, and Valérie Favre, held in the artist's studio. Together, they discuss her pictorial production since 1990, as well as reflecting on art more broadly. The book soon transforms into a journey through the artist's trajectory, covering her childhood in Switzerland, her years in Paris, her move to Berlin in 1999, and the period that followed.
The text is accompanied by reproductions of Favre's paintings discussed in the conversations, as well as previously unpublished photographs documenting the early years of the artist's career.
