The initiative, conceived by House of Art (Munich, Germany) and carried out in collaboration with picture galleryThe project aims to place childhood at the center of the artistic experience. More than an exhibition, it is a network of cultural exchange that invites children to think about, experience, and interact with the world through art.
"For children: experiences with art since 1968"It is focused on a children's audience, although it extends to visitors of all ages. Inaugurated at the Haus der Kunst in Munich, Germany, in 2025, and now at the Pinacoteca, it brings together works by eleven artists from various countries, all, in their own way, traversed by materials, games, questions, research, and stories so characteristic of the children's universe."
The oldest work dates from 1968, and that's no ordinary date. During that historical period, counterculture movements questioned social structures and defended freedom of thought and expression for all people.
Since then, it has become evident that childhood inspires a sensitivity and a set of attitudes that are essential for individual and collective change. Life in society, art, and museums are not the same in the presence of a child.
Curated by Ana Maria Maia and Lorraine Mendes.
The exhibition is sponsored by Mattos Filho, Acrilex, and Ateliê Quero Quero. Institutional support: UNICEF, for every child. Presented by: Haus der Kuns, APAC, Pinacoteca de São Paulo, CULTSP, Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries, Ministry of Culture, Government of Brazil, on the side of the Brazilian people.
An exhibition by Haus der Kuns and the Pinacoteca de São Paulo.
