O Ministry of Culture, Nubank and Tomie Ohtake Institute present Chosen Stars, individual exhibition of Luiz Zerbini.
The exhibition brings together approximately 230 works produced over the last ten years, including monotypes, paintings, artist's books, and installations, all marked by an investigation of monotype printing through direct contact with plants, leaves, branches, bark, and other materials. The collection includes works developed from the botanical collection of [the institution/organization]. Inhotim Institute and Burle Marx Sitein addition to works that broaden the dialogue of graphic production by Luiz Zerbini with different contexts, such as research related to Japanese printmaking. In addition to graphic works, the exhibition features sections dedicated to publications produced by the artist, as well as an ongoing project on ethnobotany. Tables and installations designed for the exhibition bring together processes, matrices, references, and finished works, revealing the experimental and process-oriented nature of the artist's research.
