The exposure From Fire to Asphalt brings together the artists Simone Siss e Katia LombardoThese artists, with distinct histories and research, converge on one point: the feminine. With this theme, both artists traverse fire and asphalt in this exhibition opening on July 4th at [venue name]. Soul of the Street GalleryThe exhibition proposes a journey through transformations, belonging, and the various versions we inhabit throughout life.

Katia Lombardo's work "Urbana," from the "Asfalto" series, transforms fragments of the city into medium and language. A photographer and urban artist, her research stems from observing spaces and the people who inhabit them. "How do space and coexistence affect us?" the artist investigates. Her work engages with a trajectory built across four countries, revealing unexpected connections between territories, cultures, and human experiences. The marks left by cities, displacements, and daily life become raw material for works that bring the public closer to narratives that are often invisible.

Simone Siss highlights “Manual of Non-Customs,” from the series “Crossing the Fire,” in which she presents works that stem from the traces left by the silence of routine, concealing struggles and transformations experienced by women. “What has historically been associated with care, routine, and the 'female role' is displaced and transformed into an instrument of marking, oppression, and memory,” reveals Simone. On raw fabrics, the artist constructs narratives that cross the fire and emerge transformed. Her works function as visual testimonies, records of a social body traversed by resistance, memory, and permanence.

While Simone investigates the internal and subjective marks of women's experience, Katia highlights the traces left by the environment, by diverse places, drawing connections between location and being. Together, the artists construct a powerful dialogue about the paths traveled by women and about the marks we carry in our souls and along the way.
