The exhibition Imagem Testemunho presents works by political prisoners that were created in different prisons in the State of São Paulo during the 60's and 70's. State of São Paulo.
The exhibition will be held at Maria Antonia Center from USP, in São Paulo, with official opening on April 27, 2023 at 19 pm. The event is part of the Center's 30th anniversary celebrations, whose vocation is democratic resistance, the defense of human rights and political memory.
The exhibition is a tribute to artists who fought against repression and censorship during the Brazilian dictatorship and their works are testimonies of resistance and the struggle for freedom, amnesty and human rights in Brazil. The show is made up of a set of drawings produced by prisoners from different political organizations and incorporates different techniques. There will be cultural and educational activities related to the exhibition.
