Group exhibition "I don't trust"

A Horse it presents "I don't trust“, a collective organized by Ana Clara Tito in the Botafogo space, which will bring together works by artists invited and represented by the gallery.

Through tensions between image and sculpture, the works on display bring different proposals for generating body and presence.

Ana Clara Tito exhibits photo sculptures that reveal traces of a presence yet to come, or even indications of pasts and futures of the matter and body of the image in deterioration.

In his work, Anderson Borba sculpts using different procedures with wood, such as addition and carving, in addition to the use of cut-out images that highlight the presence of color.

Eustáquio Neves, possibly the artist closest to traditional photography among the six, reconstructs memories composed between self-portraits and still lifes through the chemical manipulation of negatives and copies.

Gilson Plano exhibits three sculptures, one of which was conceived by the artist as a sculptural gesture, in which pearls are hidden in the gallery walls. By mobilizing actions between appearance and disappearance, the work never presents itself to the eye in its entirety.

Iagor Peres presents a sculpture created from the accumulation of solder and a diptych of monotypes made with the traces of a substance he has been developing for some years, named by the artist as pelematerial.

Luiz Roque uses film and ceramics to intersect symbols and biopolitical codes, interested in the sensations and plasticities that unfold from vision, entangling different temporalities.
