The title of the exhibition is the artifice used to fly a kite, a sharp reminder of Fabricio's childhood. The hand, which has already been cut by the cerol, is the same one that cuts and digs the wood in the woodcut.
Fabricio Lopez has an expressive work within this technique, in his career, large format production is constant, and the pictorial character that woodcuts assume in the approach to layers and colors worked in manual printing. Cerol presents an anthology of the artist's recent work in which he presents woodcuts on kozo paper, in larger formats, such as Carcaça, Um sopro Firme e Gent through the Cut and We in Two Seasons (I and She), and the Budas da Várzea series, inspired by the 1939 series by Japanese master Munakata Shikô, celebrating the fusion between xilo tradition and contemporary perspective.
