Details

AnatoMy - an image odyssey based on an audiovisual narrative, solo exhibition by the multi-artist and magician from Paraná Elisa Riemer, is in season at Olido Gallery with free entry. The exhibition, composed of twelve audiovisual works with video mapping technology, is curated by the multi-artist and cultural manager Luciana Ramin and production of Vanderlei B. Junior. All works are also available with audio description.

With 15 years of experience in advertising, esoteric publishing and visual arts, Elisa specializes in analog and digital collages. Some of the highlights of her career include the creation of Our Tarot, the first feminist deck of cards in Brazil, and the direction, editing and gifcollage fragments in the clip What a mess, by the singer and composer from Rio de Janeiro Letrux (artistic name of Letícia Novaes). Elisa was also the cover artist for the album Shatter and video director of the clip Great wall of China – both from the band Letuce, Letícia Novaes’ previous project.

In Elisa's words, AnatoMy is a poetic surgery performed on digital screens using digital collage and two-dimensional animation techniques, based on aesthetics frame by frame. In the exhibition, Elisa exposes lesbian-affective innards based on the anatomical study of the cisgender female body. The visual odyssey presented is a set of works made in analog collage that, in this new guise, gain a new look from the perspective of technology and the projection of moving images.

"AnatoMy is a narrative construction through the decoupage of a Vitruvian woman, composed of organs individually affected by the artist's affective-loving experience. It is an invitation to observe the movement of the internal organs that construct this woman immersed in the sapphic inner world”, adds the artist.
