Curated by Ariana Nuala, the artist proposes a poetic fiction that shifts our gaze to another planet, with unknown rules regarding the physical, emotional, geological and celestial behavior of bodies: a space open to the imagination. Using research that observed astrological symbols, astrophysical information, tarot consultations, spells, memories, desires and love experiments, Clara imagines life on Venus as a celestial landscape and fantastic body, creating a series of images to fictionalize survival on the sulfuric planet also known as the planet of love or the brightest star seen from Earth.

Using elemental materials such as coal, graphite and sanguine, Moreira presents a view of Earth from Venus, inverting perspectives while bringing the two planets closer together. We know the similarities between them, some even suggest that the future of Earth's destruction is similar to what we know about the planet Venus: a place where it is not possible to survive, but which, however, symbolizes love. From this ambiguity the beings that inhabit Clara's drawings seem to emerge.

In the artist's creative process, drawing and poetry always go together, an incessant dance between image and word, which sometimes end up merging. Clara says that “the exercise has been to intensify the resources of rapprochement between feeling and drawing, and so, when drawing, I feel like I am writing poems. The poem speaks for itself and it is very difficult to talk about them, but I am very interested in word-drawing, I am very interested in trying to act in the space that stretches between the drawing and the word, this is the place from which I I intend to communicate.” This poetic space created from Clara's drawings is an invitation to the visitor on a journey. These landscapes do not fix categories, but raise suspicions and clues, which leave gaps for the imagination of those who observe them. After all, what would the dawn of the brightest star in the sky of the planet Venus be like?

The exhibition has text and curatorial support by Ariana Nuala, astrological consultancy by Rita Vênus. The unpublished drawings were produced in the artist's studio, in Recife, between the months of February and March 2024.
