Marcus de Lontra Costa is an art critic and independent curator. He was editor of the magazine Modulo; director of the Parque Lage School of Visual Arts; art critic for the periodicals O Globo, Tribuna da Imprensa and Isto É and adviser to the Ministry of Culture. He also directed the Museums of Modern Art in Brasília, Rio de Janeiro and Recife. He was Secretary of Culture for Nova Iguaçu (RJ), in the government of Lindberg Farias. He was curator of the exhibitions: “How are you, generation 80?” (together with Sandra Magger and Paulo Roberto Leal); “Perverse Childhood”, at MAM-RJ; “Where are you generation 80?”, at CCBB. Since 1998 he has been the director of Lontra Produções Culturais.
