    EXHIBITION | In the exhibition "The Decorator's House: The Future EXHIBITION | In the exhibition "The Decorator's House: The Future Is No Longer Here," Marco A. Castillo revisits Cuban modernism from its various developments. The project observes a period in which architecture and design sought to assert their own identity, before their replacement by imported models and their eventual erasure. At Casa Domschke, by Vilanova Artigas, the exhibition brings together distinct contexts. Materials, forms, and historical references reappear as part of an investigation into memory, language, and politics.     MUSIC | Between tradition and reinvention, shames (שמש) MUSIC | Between tradition and reinvention, shames (שמש) brings together the Coral Tradição choir, active at Casa do Povo since 1988, with artists from different fields to reinterpret the Yiddish repertoire. The album explores historical songs in two directions: on one hand, arrangements close to the original formation; on the other, reinterpretations that shift form and listening experience. The project also includes a booklet of scores with unpublished translations, essays, and commentaries, conceived both as a record and as an instrument of continuity. The album is curated by Caio Lescher and Júlia Morelli and musically produced by João Barisbe.     INTERVIEW | The 61st Venice Biennale opens INTERVIEW | The 61st Venice Biennale opens to the public on May 9th. The Brazilian Pavilion will feature works by Rosana Paulino and Adriana Varejão, in a dialogue proposed by curator Diane Lima. Entitled "comigo ninguém pode" (no one can mess with me), the project stems from the syncretic and ambiguous characteristics of the homonymous plant, which has become a symbol of protection and resilience due to its toxicity. The exhibition brings together new works and previous pieces by the artists, organized around a dialogue that encompasses different temporalities, scales, and languages.     EXHIBITION | In "nocturne without rhyme or reason", Iole de EXHIBITION | In "nocturne without head or tail," Iole de Freitas presents a new set of sculptures and works from the Mantos series, which takes as its reference the interval between dusk and sunrise. The exhibition proposes a journey in which light, color, and matter transform before the eye. With more than five decades of experience, the artist develops research that displaces industrial materials into a sensitive field. In the show, steel responds to the incidence of light and the presence of the body, producing continuous variations in perception within the exhibition space.     EXHIBITION | Featuring over 70 artists, Atlântico Ser EXHIBITION | Featuring over 70 artists, Atlântico Sertão occupies the CCBB São Paulo with an expanded reading of the Sertão (the Brazilian backlands), understood as a symbolic and political field. The curators are Ariana Nuala, Marcelo Campos, Amanda Rezende, Jean Carlos Azuos, Rita Vênus, and Thayná Trindade. Structured around six sections, the exhibition brings together practices that address memory, territory, and rights, mostly from perspectives originating in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil, Afro-descendant and Indigenous communities. Among the participants are artists Antonio Obá, Ayrson Heráclito, Aline Motta, Dalton Paula, Denilson Baniwa, Jaime Lauriano, Lidia Lisboa, Maria Macedo, Nádia Taquary, Rafael Bqueer, Rosana Paulino, Tunga, Ziel Karapotó, and many others.     EXHIBITION | During the dictatorship in Chile, the Collective EXHIBITION | During the dictatorship in Chile, the Colectivo Acciones de Arte (CADA) took artistic practice outside of institutions and into the city. Founded in Santiago in 1979, the group was formed by artists Lotty Rosenfeld (1943–2020) and Juan Castillo (1952–2025), writer Diamela Eltit (1949), poet Raúl Zurita (1950), and sociologist Fernando Balcells (1950), with changes in its composition over time. The exhibition at MASP brings together records of the collective's experiences, including the NO+ action, in which the open phrase was appropriated by the population, and ¡Ay Sudamérica!, which distributed pamphlets about Santiago. By bringing these materials together, the exhibition allows us to follow how CADA challenged the boundaries between art, politics, and public life during a period of strong repression in Latin America.
