On May 25, 2018 I visited Instituto Tomie Ohtake, where I saw many interesting and cool works, it was there where I saw for the first time the works of famous painters such as Salvador Dalí, Henri Matisse, Candido Portinari among other spectacular works. One of the works that I found most interesting was that of Candido Portinari. The name of the work is “O lavrador de café” where I was inspired a lot and at the same time I saw a reality, a black man holding a weeding hoe and it seemed to me that he was resting after a beautiful weeding. This painting infected me a lot, but talking about Instituto Tomie Ohtake the place is beautiful, when you enter there you feel like knowing about the paintings, you are completely curious about the art and not to mention that the educators are very good, you they pay attention, they explain it well and you learn more about the art.

I really enjoyed getting to know this beautiful place, I saw different cultures, I had the chance to draw with my classmates, express what I saw in a work, it was a different experience, fun and at the same time a learning experience.

I have to say that I'm not a boy who likes paintings, when I arrived at the Institute I thought “Oh, this is going to be boring, I don't even like paintings”. But I saw why I didn't like paintings, for the simple fact of just seeing them without knowing them, but after I entered that room, looked at those paintings and the educator talking, I already told my colleagues at the time "Man, That's pretty cool, I'm starting to like it." It was like a key to open my mind to learn new things.
