I've always been bothered by the retrospective exhibitions of the 1980s because they basically focused on two shows from that period: Como vai você, geração 80, at Parque Lage, in 1984, and the 18th São Paulo Biennial, in 1985, nicknamed The Big Screen Biennial, because it exhibited very similar large-scale paintings in three long corridors.
