The Museum Of Modern Art in New York (MoMA) announced earlier this week that it will be closed from June 15th to October 21st to renovate its space and think about a new organization, escaping the usual disciplinary systematization.

The institution intends, with the new space, to give a different approach to modern and contemporary art, especially to artists who belong to minorities: women, Latinos, Asians, African-Americans and other groups that are undervalued by the art system. This is the last phase of a renovation that has lasted months, costing 400 million dollars.

Also this week, the museum received the largest cash donation in its history: the Rockefeller family donated $200 million to the institution.
