With the participation of 197 galleries from 33 countries, the 25th edition of the Armory Show takes place between March 7th and 10th in New York. The most important and traditional art fair in the American metropolis occupies the old docks on the Hudson River, on the west side of Manhattan.

The Brazilian participants in the edition are Galerias Nara Roesler (at Pier 94); A Gentil Carioca (at pier 90), with work by Arjan Martins; and Vermelho, which presents the work Reverence, by Mexican Tania Candiani.

At a time of year that moves the city's art market and institutions, the bad news for New Yorkers was the cancellation of the Volta fair, which takes place at the same time as the Armory. The City of New York informed the organizers, a few days before the event, that one of the piers that would be occupied had structural problems.
