The second edition of Tijuana Triennial 2: Pictorial International (Mexico), inaugurated on September 6, has as its conceptual axis the pictorial which, in its disruptive form, is taken as a starting point, highlighting the capacity of painting to expand and dialogue with other forms of expression. This choice goes back to the inaugural project of Tijuana International Pictorial Triennial (2019), conceived by the Tijuana Cultural Center (Cecut) and proposed by the Mexican critic Heriberto Yépez, who saw in the pictorial the possibility of exploring new poetics of painting.
