Work exhibited at AMERICAN MEETINGS

On display at Sesc Vila Mariana, in São Paulo, the show Amerindian Encounters gathers works of peoples from the most diverse corners of the American continent, from North to South America, passing through Central. The exhibition, curated by Aristoteles Barcelos Neto and coordinated by Sylvia Caiuby Novaes, showcases the production of the Haida and Tahltan (Canada), Guna (Panama), Shipibo Konibo (Peru) and Huni Kuin (Brazil) peoples.

“One characteristic of these Amerindian peoples is that they do not differentiate between things that we consider to be separate spheres: ethics, aesthetics and morals. So what is aesthetically beautiful is because it is ethically correct and morally correct”, emphasizes Cauybi. Watch the full video below:
