Loli World – A world beyond Urban Art, by Michael Devis, brings together 25 recent works by the Curitiba-based artist, which transpose the visual, sound, and emotional elements of his street production into the exhibition space. The exhibition is on display at CAIXA Cultural São Paulo until January 11, 2026.

Self-taught, Devis began his graffiti career at age 13, on the outskirts of Curitiba. In nearly three decades of work, he has taken his paintings to every state in the country and to more than twenty countries, establishing himself as one of the leading names in contemporary Brazilian urban art. His visual research incorporates elements of pop and street culture, articulating themes related to identity, memory, and collective experience in urban space.

Among the main signs of his work are the Lolitas — characters with blue hair and expressive eyes, inspired by pop culture do Japan, where she completed an artistic residency. More than visual icons, they act as mediators between different universes: the real and the imaginary, the local and the global, the popular and the institutional.

Em Loli World Devis recreates this universe in an expanded form. Sound installations, collages, lights, and objects compose an immersive environment that explores the intersection of graffiti, painting, and sensory experience. The artist thus proposes a museum translation of his urban practice—an attempt to transport the vitality and memory of the streets into the exhibition space.
